about

A deep emotional ballad about the life struggles of one, Stevie Armstrong.

lyrics

This is the tale of ol' Stevie Armstrong
The boy from down in the swamp
One hell of a harmonica player
That boy sure knew how to romp
Once after a hard day at work
He was fixin' for a snack
Made himself a bowl of grits
When dogs fit to be tied attack
Ol' Armstrong put up one hell of a fight
Got in a few good blows
But those dogs tore off one of his arms
N' ate the whole goddamn bowl
Armstrong looked on as they ran off down the road
Took it as a new beginning, a new story to be told

This is the tale of ol' stevie one-arm
The man who was attacked by dogs
Despite that boy only havin one arm
He decided he should push on
Got hi'self a job down at the general store
There he met a pretty gal
Her name was....
.......
.....
.......
Katherine

Now about six months had passed
N', he was fine, doin' fine
Everything was going swell
That is until the day he broke her heart
And that old girl tried sendin' that boy straight to hell
She hacked n' slashed n swungeth at him
But most of her blows missed
He got away with most his parts
But just one arm less

So whats ol stevie no-arms up to now you ask?
Well the sheriff told me what he knows
He robbed each and every bank in town,
But no one really knows
They say he has arms of steel
Some say gattling guns
But all that we know for sure
Is old stevie, hes on the run
